About

Hello, and welcome to my blog! I’m Lili. I was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, but moved to Fargo, North Dakota when I was 8. I have always been a lover of books and cats. I also love dance and yoga, and am a passionate vegetarian/ vegan (depending on where in the world I am). When I was 15, my family moved to Szeged, Hungary for five months. It was an amazing experience that sparked my interests in foreign languages. It eventually inspired me to apply for the National Security Language Initiative for Youth scholarship, which sends high-schoolers abroad to learn a language. I graduated from high school in June of 2017, and then moved to Rabat, Morocco! I spent about 9 months there studying Modern Standard Arabic and living with a host family. I am now a student at Indiana University Bloomington majoring in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures and minoring in History and French. I am also a member of IU’s Arabic Flagship, which means that more Moroccan adventures are imminent. This blog is not currently being updated, but I hope that I will update it in the future when I live in Morocco again!
